The Willink School

Parent Forum - General Information

The Parent Forum is an informal discussion forum for parents to provide feedback on school matters and provide information that contributes to the forward planning of the school. Parent Forums are scheduled three times a year. Parents are invited from specific year groups to provide a cross-section of opinion. The forums take place in the Drama Studio and last just over the hour.

Following a brief introduction and welcome refreshments parents are arranged in groups to discuss a variety of school issues (e.g. school ethos, curriculum, transition from primary/other schools, pastoral support, communication) before feeding back to the whole group. The Head Teacher, some senior staff and a governor attend the forum.

A summary of discussion from the Parent Forum and schools’ response is sent to parents via the weekly Parent Digest as well as being posted here on the school website.
