Head, Peter Fry, said:

Students, staff, parents and governors of The Willink School School in Burghfield Common are today celebrating another year of outstanding examination results. Overall, an incredible 86% of students at the school achieved a Grade 4 (old grade C) or better in English and in maths. With success across the board, results in English and maths were particularly impressive, with 92% of students achieving at least a Grade 4 in English and three quarters of students achieved a Grade 5 or higher – defined by the Government as a “strong pass” or better. There was also real success in maths, with 89% of the students achieving a Grade 4 or higher, and 69% of students achieving a Grade 5 or above. Overall, the percentage of top grades 9-7 (the old A*-A) was almost 30% breaking the school’s previous best. The Ebacc average points score was very strong too at 5.38, indicating significant success across the ability range. My thanks also go to our staff who have worked tirelessly in supporting our students gaining such great results”.
